OPALINE® Security Laminates – Multi-level security for intuitive authentication

New generation of secured polycarbonat (PC) sheets, based on OPALINE® technology.

Level 1 – Double colour shift

  • Innovative optical security features, characterized by colour shifts visible to the naked eye and easy for authorities to authenticate
  • Perfectly registered dual colour shift
  • High resolution, enabling the printing of very fine patterns, micro-text, and complex graphic elements
  • Available colours: blue/green, gold/green, orange/green, red/gold (other colours available when possible)

Level 2 – Polarization

OPALINE®- Design

  • Easy and fast integration into the document design: no origination, no plate or shim to manufacture, offering near-total freedom design creation
  • Printable over the entire document surface or in patterns, with high resolution enabling the printing of complex graphics, fine motifs, and micro-text
  • ideal transparency for protecting images, portraits, and variable data
  • Can be used on the front and/or back of the document to strengthen protection against fraudulent attacks (photo substitution, data alteration, etc.)

OPALINE®- The finished product

  • Available in sheet or roll format
  • OPALINE® is printed on a tranparent polycarbonate substrate or other materials (e.g. PVC)
  • Sheets with OPALINE®can be placed on the front and/or back of the card/datapage structure
  • Possibility to print on the laser-personalizable sheet
  • Film thickness 50 – 200 µm
  • Maximum sheet size: 520 x 630 mm

Level 3 – OPALINE® in combination with SICPASECUR® (available upon request and additional costs)

  • Forensic feature intended for official experts for the examination of security documents
  • Integrated into OPALINE®, it enables non-destructive analyses that can be performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM)
  • Completely concealed and does not alter any of the ink`s properties (rheology, colour, resistance characteristics, etc.)
